Apparently being the first one to say it on Vent isn't enough these days. YOU ARE A NARCISSIST - or at least borderline on several aspects. Yet somehow I continue to amuse you. :|

HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNKIE !!

Now shut up about no one saying it on LJ 8UUU

Here's an interesting meme, reminded me of Hearts:

I've lost my soul! All of my emotions, reactions, and feelings are gone. Considering I am nothing more than a blank slate, list five personality traits you'd like to give back to me. Two of those traits, however, must be traits you believe I used to possess. The remaining three can be whatever you wish I had, or you can give more of my old ones back. If you choose to pick a new trait for me, tell me why you chose those.

After ya' comment, maybe you should give it a try and post it in your own journal~ 8Db

I was going to post something arguing against how people say they care about something and then do nothing to support it.

And then I realized that I shouldn't expect them to do anything or give any support.

If I'm relying on them then I really am not giving it my all either. You just gotta rely on yourself sometimes. Right? Right.

On a related note - People stumble sometimes, but it's not about how many times you do, it's about how you pick yourself up after wards and whether or not you learn not to stumble across the same rock twice.

Hmn. Aren't I just full of it today? ♥

So I'm writing this paper right now - It's about 2:20 this moment and the paper is due at 4 PM. But I need to leave my dorm to print it around 3:30. I'm making good time so I thought I'd post, relax, take a breather, drink my Dr. Pepper, procrastinate ... yeah. ;D

I can say that this paper is a total suck up. I have never tried this before, I enjoy a challenging argument rather than constant repeats from the previous lessons.

But this is that Russian Cinema teacher who enjoys rambling and hearing herself talk.

I seriously need all A's this semester since I have so few classes. Getting anything lower is not going to work. I am determined.

SO BRING ON THE SUCKING UP. If I sound more and more like a "comrade" I'm sure my paper will get an A. Talking about grooouuups and how unifiiiieeed the people are in the movie we saw.

Bloody communism. I think my teacher would marry Communism itself if she could. She is the weeaboo of Russian and I am driven nuts by her lunacy of joy every Thursday evening. Yes, the movies are exceptional. But when we are talking about... I don't even know I can't concentrate in that class... but when we talk-- she talks for 2 hours straight during a 3 hour class the classroom starts becoming a little wonky.

Anytime I look around in that class people either are leaning back, arms folded, or leaning on the tables, head resting on their hands or arms. I haven't seen this in a long time. Say like. Middle school (6th grade) long time. I haven't really fallen asleep willingly in a class before. Normally it would be like an all-nighter then a crash in class by accident. But dude, I get to that class fully awake and I'm fighting back Zs by thirty minutes in.

Ugh. My. Life.

You know what? This entry is rather acceptable for English Class and I really don't feel like winging entries later so I'm just gonna... yeah. Keep it public. Duuuurrrr.

OKAY. BACK TO THAT ESSAY. HOOO YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAH! Wish me luck~

I want that Hiatus now. Can it be Katsucon already? I just... really need a break from a few things. At the same time though, I can't. Ah, very stressful. Very, very stressful.

To get my mind off of pure and agonizing stress, have some really gorgeous pictures. I've been clearing out my camera's memory for Katsu purposes and realized these would be lovely to share.

I live on the fifteenth floor, so you have to understand that I have the most amazing view of the sunset on the planet. Okay, maybe not the planet. But it's pretty fucking gorgeous. Sadly, I'm not the best photographer, and there's a building in the way 90% of the time so you'll have to forgive me on those aspects.

Anyways, here's a few of the pictures. I thought yous might appreciate them too. A bunch were taken on the same day, duh. Sorry if it's repetitive.

Here's a "Teaser" so to say...

Sorry F-list! It's English Class spam time now. I'll be kinder and keep everything under an LJ-cut since the posts tend to be rather long at times. I think I'm going to post the English blog things in one foul swoop. It's just easier and I can get it out of the way rather quickly as opposed to remembering/forgetting random days.

Anyways! Continuing on -

For English Class --

I'm finding new ways to end the boredom! Or at least lessen it. Wow, I make it sound like a disease of some kind. Maybe it secretly is and it breaks down your brain. Something that's super harsh on you and can cause cancer after several problems. You never know! Despite how far science has come we still know very little.

I can see it now "Poor soul, killed by boredom"!

It kinda reminds me of the whole "Killed for soup" thing in the Battleship Potemkin or whatever that old silent film is called. Good film. I don't regret watching it for my Russian Cinema class. But geez, silent films are hard to get into. Subtitles can be a challenge at times but this is a little worse. You have to pay attention and keep your eyes on the screen. There's no telling when the text explanation will appear since you can't hear anything but orchestra music. It's sorta like its own foreign language. Or maybe I'm just thinking too much on the matter.

Either way I've been a bit more occupied recently. At least tonight I started watching a "new" Taiwanese drama. It's called "櫻野三加一", the English title although is nothing like the Chinese title. I think it's called My Best Pals, where as the Chinese title is something like Wild Cherry 3+1. Though my Chinese isn't that fantastic so who knows how far off I am. Probably reading it too literally. THOUGH! THOOOOOOOUUUUUUUGH! I think the school where the majority of the story takes place is called 櫻野 so that makes a bit more sense. Odd name for a school though. "Where do you go to school?" "Oh, well I go to Wild Cherry. You?" "Ah, yeah. I go to Fruit Punch." "Awesome." .... Uh, all right then. Only in Asia land. I swear.

The series is really, really weird. Surprise, surprise! But then again you have to lower your standards before viewing it to that of the common Taiwanese viewer. Their dramas aren't exactly the same as shows in the US. In fact most Americans would view their acting as poor. But I'd rather consider it unique. Otherwise, you'd be calling all the actors in the country horrific. No, no. It's just different. Way more pulled out and expressive. They also like adding comical sound effects. Oh and don't forget re-watching one second long scenes 5 times over in 4 different angles! We do that as well sometimes but not when a couple is kissing. I suppose it's because we get the hint after the first split second. No, Taiwan wants to make sure you know they aren't faking it. No "drama kissing" here. That's probably why almost every actor and actress duo wind up dating. That happens here as well at a great magnitude but not like Taiwan. Rumors of Nicholas Teo and Cyndi Wang dating? What.

So I'll return to my silly drama watching. It's getting pretty intense! Hahahaha. Onto episode 5! Damn it's so annoying that episodes are 70 min. long. I don't even want to know how long it would be with commercials. I suppose I should be grateful on that note.

Still no new hobby.

Though I have turned to Tudou for entertainment. They have pretty much every movie ever for free viewing. Like Youtube only better quality. You just have to use your wits to get to the movie, since everything is in Chinese. Unless your me and understand a decent portion of the language. Oh, you also have to deal with Chinese subtitles. But it shouldn't bother anyone who understands squat of the language.

Ever notice that though? Whenever there's subtitles you just HAVE to read them. There's just no escape from their texting grasp. Maybe it's just a generation thing. We see text fonts and are immediately drawn to it and HAVE to read it. Maybe if it was text written on paper or something we wouldn't care so much. At least in a bunch of comics I read I wind up skipping text because it takes too long to get to something good. I can always flip back a page if I end up skipping too much. But there's just something about subtitles on movies and so on. Though it may just be everyone and not just the plague of my generation.

Anyways, I've only managed to watch two movies today. Good old "Flubber" and "The Naked Gun". "The Naked Gun" is just stupid humor which is perfect when you're bored. "Flubber" is just something I liked as a kid. Like a lot of movies you watch when you're little, you don't really know what's going on and when you go back and watch it later you realize a whole lot.

Actually, "Flubber" isn't that old, and I have re-watched it a few times since I first saw it. So maybe that doesn't apply now. Whatever, the movie is good and I laughed.

Back to being bored out of my mind. ♥

SFEXA Toma is not amused
I made my schedule this semester have all classes in the afternoon for one hope and reason. Sleeping in.

This isn't going to work though, if I'm going to bed as early as midnight and waking up by 8 AM. To some of you 8 AM is sleeping in! No, oh no, not for me. Noon is sleeping in.

So why don't I stay up later? I could easily manage it! I could stay up until 3 tonight without so much as an extra caffeinated bottle to keep me lively and perky. But no, I'll probably only manage 1 AM then call it a night, complete with a sigh of defeat like last night.

Why the sigh? Why defeat? Why only 1 AM? Well, it's pretty much because of the same reason I went to bed at midnight last night. I am just too bored to stay awake. There is just simply nothing for me to do BUT sleep. Normally my crowd of friends are most lively at 1 AM and manage staying online until about 3 AM. Once the flow of the majority of pals of mine have died down and they've gone to bed, I'll follow.

But I don't only talk to them, I like to multitask. Sadly though, the internet can become a very lonely and boring place if you aren't a fan of devoting mindless hours to youtube. So really what it comes down to is the simple fact that I NEED NEW HOBBIES. Or even just picking up old hobbies that I no longer choose to do. Like drawing! I used to draw all the time. Carried my sketchbook with me everywhere in case I stumbled across something that caught my eye. Or play my DS/gameboy/whatever. I used to pass the time with that as well.

I could always KEEP my sewing machine here and constantly have it available to work on things. Rather than crunch times. ♥ Though you can't really socialize with people while you're sewing. Not unless they're next to you. Good old "sweatshops"~

Damn, if I had a T.V. I wouldn't be having this problem right now. But owoe I don't own one.

Ugh, I need something else to do. Seriously, this is driving me nuts. Suggestions anyone?
